Tapi kena special design kat foundation sebab stump tak duduk tengah2 foundation. Tuan Ir. Redzuan, saya sebenarnya salah faham soalan mimie, saya ingat dua perkara yang berbeza dua column dekat dan expantion joint (almaklum le dah tua bak kata Jijah). betul kat u tu column kena duduk atas stump dan tak boleh atas ground beam je. harap penerangan ini dapat membantu mimie.........Izzat
Mimie - Just to throw some ideas. If you need to allow the structure to expand, then the separation has to be total, from top all the way to bottom - i.e you need to separate at the pile cap also, as shown in above figure by Ir Izzat.
ReplyDeleteThey will be eccentric loading pada pile cap sebab the stump is no longer at the centre. Make sure hang check pile group analysis sebab distribution of load pada pile dah tak sama.
I'v seen designer providing the expansion joint at column and stop before the stump. They assumed expansion is very minimal, so stump dan pile cap tak diseparatekan. I think the concept is incorrect. Expansion tu seolah terbantut dan bila ini berlaku, its not impossible for the stump dan pile cap to crack.
